My startup that was just a product

This isn’t another obituary for a failed startup. It’s a lot more personal than that. This is a real story, about a real startup, my entrepreneurial dreams, how I fucked it all up — what it cost me, and how it changed me, forever. — This story spans a timeline of events from March 2017 to May of 2020. I’m writing this to share my journey with first time founders and aspiring entrepreneurs that may benefit from understanding in detail what’s really involved behind a startup.

From the first days as a new parent.

This was written more for myself than anyone else. We had a plan, a really good one. The bag was packed and in the car 2 weeks in advance. I tore down the standard shelves in the house and custom fabricated more meaningful configurations in their place to optimize our…
