Regarding H1B Visas
From a comment post I made earlier today on Linked In.
Do I qualify to work at Amazon? Because I keep applying there, at all job levels, and never get a reply. Ever. I’ve got experience in manufacturing microprocessors, supply chain, software development, application support, hardware engineering and chip design at flagship companies. I know enough to get any kind of chip design Amazon wants off the ground, modeled, designed and manufactured.
Yet, for some reason, I never get any kind of response when I apply there for any kind of position. I’m from Arizona. My ancestors are from here. But Amazon never even tells me to go away. They just don’t respond. I guess the Indian engineers that Amazon hires all the time are inherently superior to me, in some way. I spent a number of months in Delhi and nothing struck me particularly special about their IT sector. Indeed, it almost didn’t exist. Everyone wanted to know and learn all the kinds of things I knew. But something about Indian engineers is SO MUCH BETTER than my middle-aged, 40-something experience. It’s ironic that white people in my country call me ‘American Indian’. Does being that kind of Indian mean anything? Can I get an easy work visa to work in my own country? 🤔
I guess it’s a good thing Jeff Bezos’ ancestors were homesteaders in the lands that my people had taken from from them, both hispanic and amerind. Isn’t it great that Jeff can deny me employment and keep all his wealth and hire superior Indian engineers so he can sustain revenue growth. I guess that’s what capitalism is. I decided to go bald lately because it seems to help Jeff.
