A blockchain bridge is a solution for securely transferring assets or data between different networks, connecting various blockchain ecosystems for greater liquidity and efficiency. It plays a crucial role in enhancing decentralized finance and applications.
This guide shows how to transfer your assets from the Ethereum network to the Silicon network for use across its ecosystem, including DApps.
Bridge assets
Ethereum (L1) ↔️ Silicon (L2)
Silicon Bridge is the most basic bridge provided by the Silicon Ecosystem. It enables asset transfers between the Ethereum network (Layer 1) and the Silicon network (Layer 2). Developers can also move assets between testnets for use in development environments.

How to use Silicon Bridge?
1. Connect your wallet
2. Select network your assets are on.
For Ethereum to Silicon, Select Deposit,
for Silicon to Ethereum, Select Withdraw
3. Select an asset and enter the amount you want to bridge.
4. Verify the ‘Destination Address’ for the transfer.
Check that your wallet address is correct. If needed, you can send directly to another address (e.g., from MetaMask to Teleport).
5. Review the summary of the bridge and gas fees, then confirm the bridge.
6. After processes, finalize your bridge.
When withdrawing from Silicon to Ethereum, you need to manually finalize in the last step. Reaching the finalization stage may take some time.
