A blockchain bridge is a solution for securely transferring assets or data between different networks, connecting various blockchain ecosystems for greater liquidity and efficiency. It plays a crucial role in enhancing decentralized finance and applications.

Crypto bridges are like a journey.

This guide shows how to transfer your assets from the Ethereum network to the Silicon network for use across its ecosystem, including DApps.

Silicon Bridge is the most basic bridge provided by the Silicon Ecosystem. It enables asset transfers between the Ethereum network (Layer 1) and the Silicon network (Layer 2). Developers can also move assets between testnets for use in development environments.

How to use Silicon Bridge?

Basic

Using the Silicon Bridge is very simple and easy. First, connect your wallet to the bridge. You can find instructions on how to connect your wallet to the Silicon network here.

① From:
This is the ’From network’ where the assets you want to send are held.

② ETH:
You can select the asset you want to send. The default is ETH (Ethereum), but you can switch to other assets such as USDC, USDT, and more.

③ Balance:
This is the current balance of the selected asset in the from network.

④ 0.00:
Enter the amount of the asset you wish to send.

⑤ To:
This is the ‘Destination network’ where you want to send the asset.

⑥ Balance:
This is the current balance of the selected asset in the destination network.

⑦ Destination Address :
This is the wallet address on the destination network where the asset will be received.

⑧ Activity:
Go to my bridge transaction history.

Clicking [① From] will display the ‘Select Chain’ window.

  • If you are depositing assets into Silicon, select [Ethereum].
  • If you are withdrawing assets to Ethereum, select [Silicon].

Click [② ETH] to select the asset you wish to send.

Enter the amount of the asset you want to send in the [④ 0.00] input field, and verify that your wallet address matches in [⑦ Destination Address], if you want to bridge asset to a different wallet address directly(e.g. MetaMask → Teleport), please enter that wallet address.

If it is correct, click the [Move assets to Silicon (Ethereum)] button to proceed with the bridge.

⚠️
Please ensure that the Destination Address is correct and matches your own. Assets sent incorrectly cannot be recovered.

Check the bridge details and the applicable gas fees. If everything is correct, click the [Bridge] button to approve the bridge. Please note that fees may vary depending on network conditions.

Check bridge history

You can check the details of ongoing, completed, or failed bridges in [⑧ Activity]

Finalise your activity

If the bridge activity is in a pending state, click the “Finalise” button to finalize the bridge.
