This time, however, things are different.
Where It All Started: Bored Ape Yacht Club
In the past, with BAYC, the creators and founders of those projects pioneered the art of Apes. There is a saying that people in the crypto world say when they go all-in on one asset and that is ‘Ape in’. Similar to the saying “go big, or go home”. The idea BAYC coming from ‘Ape in’ is uncertain, but one can only wonder if that’s true.
Since its launch at the end of April 2021, BAYC became a NFT project selling out after 2 weeks. The rest was history after this. BAYC made headlines in the crypto space and made its way into mainstream media and has since had a floor price of a little over 69.5 ETH (at the time of writing) according to OpenSea.
So where does this take us?
Well, enough of BAYC, it’s time to introduce another Ape in the urban jungle.
Jacked Ape Club: The New Ape In Town
Jacked Ape Club (JAC) went live on discord and Twitter at the beginning of January 2022. The Discord was live approximately on the 4th of January and within 24 hours their members count surpassed 10,000 members according to chatter within the JAC discord server.
The founders of JAC have set aside Whitelist spots for members of their community who have been engaging and supporting other members within the discord. At the moment, there have been more than 1,000 Whitelist spots that are taken up. It is still unclear to community members how many Whitelist spots are left, however, no one is complaining and the community is grinding their way towards one. At the moment, there hasn’t been an official number of how many mints will be available for pre-sale and public sales. This project is definitely working in stealth and waiting to give surprises to its community.
So, how can one get a Whitelist spot?

It’s not as simple as leveling up in the discord but, you will need to go above and beyond for the JAC community and its members to get noticed by one of the founders and mods in order for you to get a spot. Additionally, the founders will proactively do giveaways for Whitelist spots on their respective Twitter accounts. Make sure to have a look out in the Giveaway and Whitelist Info channels!
At the moment, there have been approximately 2180 Whitelist spots given away with a cap at 3750 Whitelist spots. Get going because there are 1,570 spots left!
Additionally, when you get a Whitelist spot, you can also be in the running for an OG Gym Member role which unlocks a whole variety of new benefits that is still unknown to the greater community (for now).

When Mint Jacked Apes?
The founders have kept this a secret for now however, they have hinted that minting will be some time in January 2022.
When exactly?
Only time will tell, but with most NFT projects, once Whitelist spots have been taken up, the presale will begin and then public sale.
How many supply is available for minting?
In Chinese culture this number is luck. There will be 8,888 Jacked Ape’s available for minting.

What is an NFT project without a roadmap?
The founders have put some thought into the JAC roadmap. In the beginning, the team mentions that there will be a Community Bank. A DAO treasury, perhaps?
The JAC team has pledged in their roadmap to contribute to a charitable donation through the Community Bank.
What is a NFT project without merchandise?
The JAC team will be revealing merchandise of their own brand. This is something to look forward to. Maybe some gym and active wear products in the works?
Additionally, JAC holders will have the opportunity to gain access to a Miami gym rental and L.A meetup party.
Although there have been concerns of the roadmap being U.S centered, the Team has emphasized that the reason for this is due to the current Covid situation and once everything opens up, there will be plans outside of the U.S
For the future, it is still too early to tell the many more interesting things that will happen along the way of this roadmap. Potential collaborations, competitions, metaverse hangouts, and a 3D JAC, maybe?
Why Is Jacked Ape Club different?
Coming back to the above statement we made in the beginning of this post. This time, things are different with Jacked Ape Club because it has built a platform for like-minded individuals who are keen to have a healthier lifestyle and looking forward to take a leap forward to change how they feel about themselves. This has essentially allowed them to come together in one place to chat, engage via voice and video chat, and have chilled sessions with no controversies and judgment from ‘outsiders’.
The proof of all of this can be found in the JAC discord, members are lively and engaging about life, mental health, different workout routines, and personal views on different philosophies. A truly magical and immersive community built in less than a week.
