Within almost a year, the Non-fungible Alliance has grown into a wonderfully varied conglomerate of unique projects, thinkers, platforms, and initiatives.

It gathers over 100 members from all walks of non-fungibility and has reached corners all around the world.

Japan included.

Non-fungible in Japanese? 代替不可能 [daitai fukanō]

In February 2019, our friend Yuki has recognized the power and potential of cooperation among the top projects in the space. What followed was the official Japanese account for Non-fungible Alliance (日本公式アカウント) on Twitter, and he’s been running non-fungibility Japanese style ever since.

In less than 8 months, he shared news and updates from the non-fungible universe in nearly…

The 0xcert Framework for building dapps has just been updated to version 1.8.0.

The latest edition of the Framework brings upgrades on two fronts with:

1. Added sign(message) support to providers
2. Fixed minor bugs

With sign(message) support added to providers, you can now sign a message using your ETH account. The function enables both personal_sign and eth_sign, and it works for all blockchain communication providers within the 0xcert Framework.

After fixing minor code bugs, the Framework now runs even more smoothly and provides a better user experience for all dapp developers.

Soon, we’ll release a new version of the…

In the seventh month of the year, it’s time for a retrospective on the progress we’ve done in the past three months. Check the latest updates in the 0xcert news section, or subscribe to our newsletter in the footer below and have it all delivered to your inbox.

Development

Software and API development remains at the core of 0xcert’s nature. Similarly as before, we’ve devoted the most of our time and resources to building new products and upgrading existing ones.

With the 0xcert Roadmap as our compass, we’re moving forward with new milestones met along the way.

The goal of this Wanchain tutorial series is to show how the 0xcert Framework can be used with the Wanchain blockchain for building a dapp, as well as creating and managing non-fungible tokens.

⚠️ Prefer building on Ethereum? This tutorial should help.

Before we begin

This episode follows the Tutorial #5 and assumes you have completed the step of transferring assets.

In this tutorial series, you will learn:

  1. How to set up a Wanchain test node (gwan)
  2. How to create a Wanchain wallet and obtain test WAN tokens
  3. How to set up Express server with TypeScript
  4. How to connect Wanchain with the 0xcert…

The 0xcert Framework provides multiple functionalities, some of which were explained in previous tutorials. Today, we are going to focus on one particularly potent part, namely atomic operations. We purposely called them atomic operations, not atomic swaps. What is the reason?

Well, let’s first take a look at the definition of an atomic swap. An atomic swap is defined as:

A smart contract technique then enables the transfer of an asset between two parties without using a centralized intermediary.

➡️ To learn more about atomic swaps, please check this article.

Are you into decentralized apps and would like to browse them all in one spot, even on the go? Read further!

One of our first UI-included projects, the SwapMarket platform, has been featured as a new partner of Dorothy, the first universal dapp store by EdenChain.

Dorothy, the next-gen mobile store for dapps

EdenChain’s Dorothy has launched just a few weeks ago and has already amassed hundreds of dapps in their registry. This contemporary store’s primary goal is to provide users with a flawless experience of all dapps on the market and doing so for either of the underlying blockchain networks and all supported cryptocurrencies.
