Starting fresh. Every. Single. Day.

I like to start as 0.

Every. Single Day.

I like to start fresh.

Every. Single. Day.

I like to let go of all the stories I tell myself about my life, the world, myself.

Every. Single. Day.

I like to NOT think about who I was yesterday, a week or month, a year ago.

Every. Single. Day.

I like to be Here and Now.

Every. Single. Day.

I like to wake up long before the Sun every day and decide then and there what I want to be today, what I want to reach towards today, who I want to be more of today.

Every. Single. Day.

I like to choose my thoughts, my mood, my energy for the day ahead every morning when I open my eyes and smile. (And silently scream to myself, “Yay! I’m in New York! Another awesome day in the city of my dreams!” Silently, cause, you know, not all the neighbors are excited to hear you creaming at 3 am in the morning.)

Every. Single. Day.

I like to imagine what this beautiful day can be like, can feel like, what awesome things can happen, what unexpected beautiful souls I can meet. — The sky is not the limit!

Every. Single. Day.

I like to schedule and imagine the important things that make me better, make me feel good, things I love, right then and there.

Every. Single. Day.

Walk-connect with nature. Read. Write or do art, make-create something. Exercise. Add value, help someone. Do something uncomfortable. See something I haven’t seen before. Learn something, get better.

Every. Single. Day.

Say yes to things that feel good, that life brings into my life, even if they are not in my plans. Especially if they are not in my plans!

Every. Single. Day.

Laugh. Play. Explore. Fall in love with something.

Every. Single. Day.

Every morning when I open my eyes I like to ask myself, “What do I want to create more of in the world, in myself today? Where do I want to go? Where do I want to grow?”

Every. Single. Day.

Monday. 1st of any month or year. These are great starting points to begin anything. To start over, to start fresh, to start being your ideal self with every thought, word and action. And most importantly every feeling and emotion you produce.

But so is every morning of every single day.

This quote, that has been on my front page for a few weeks now by Paulo Koelho, I keep reading and repeating it, over and over again,

“Stop being who you were and become who you are”.

Why?

Because too often we stay the way we are because we keep living our lives from the perspective of the person we used to be before. Even if that before was yesterday, to change our life today, we got to start think, talk, walk, feel, act like the person we want to be, NOT the person we are used to being and kind of sick of.

There is no tomorrow for the change.

There is no tomorrow to be better.

There is no transition between who you were and who you want to be right now.

Yes, losing few pounds might take some time but you got to live life as a fit healthy person right now. Not tomorrow. Not some day.

Today. Right now.

And that’s the piece of life mastery I haven’t understood for a while. Almost 30 years. Being my best self and having all my desires fulfilled somewhere in my tomorrows, not now.

And that’s why I’ve been stuck in a lot of areas of life, going back and forth. What I wanted was always someday, somewhere, but not here and definitely not now.

Only when I dropped all the stories that the old me was stuck with, stories about my health, my career, my financial situation — only then things started to shift, shift fast and easy.

Life started to be more magical. Sometimes it’s a bit scary because, well, because that means that all the stuff in my life I struggled with — I created it myself, and there is no excuse anymore not to have it differently.

And taking full responsibility is scary. And it’s a lot of work.

But it’s also life changing and transforming, and incredibly rewarding. And uncomfortable. And most often unpredictable.

Life starts feeling like a beautiful breath-taking scenery unfolding every second in front of you while sky-diving.

I know I’m going to land safely.

I know it’s gonna be great there.

I know the journey will be more than the word exciting can hold.

But I also have no idea about many many things that will happen between now and landing. And I got to be ok with that.

So what can you learn from my post today? What can you do to have a better life experience today?

Imagine your best self. Your best life.

Every. Single. Day.

And think, feel, talk, act accordingly.

And maybe borrow and repeat my mantra.

Every. Single. Day.

“Stop being who you were and become who you are.”
