26/100: Contact your rep to oppose H.R. 610, the bill to implement a universal school voucher program

Hey everybody. Here is the follow up to my earlier post which gave a run down on school voucher programs and the Trump administration’s plan to implement them.

This call to action is to take that knowledge and act on it.

You should contact your rep to urge them to oppose H.R. 610, the bill that will limit the authority of the Department of Education and only allow it to distribute block grants (meaning it will only be able to give out school vouchers).

I’ve included a call script and contact info for your rep (and a link to my previous post with the background info about the program).

Bonus: send them a tweet about it too. It’s crazy, but twitter is proving to be a shockingly direct means of contact.

Here is the call script:

Hello, my name is [your name], and I’m a constituent of [representative]. I’m calling today because I’m concerned about H.R. 610. I want to urge [the representative] to oppose it.
There is no need to call me back. Thank you for your time and your hard work.
