100 days of overture

30 Dec 2015

This is my 100 day challenge. I am going to lose 25 pounds by April 10th. I weigh 148 pounds. So, the goal is to be at 123 pounds. The focus will be on maintaining a diet that consistent and non-over-indulgent.

I will need to do something active everyday even though it may be for 20 minutes. I want to build discipline and then see my results in April. I hope that practicing discipline physically will carry over valuable skills into my mental health such as daily positivity and self-encouragement.

To assist the every day mind and body battles, I commit to writing one page of prayer per day. This book will be servicing as my prayer journal and exercise check-in note book.

If I fail, by missing a day, then this notebook will also be a source of forgiveness and comfort because I will include uplifting events, scripture, or thoughts.

It is my playbook on how to be better. I foresee the following reasons for potential failure: traveling Jan 13 — Mar 18, working on thesis, indulgent distractions, or simple laziness.

To preemptively combat those excuses, I pray to God in Jesus name right now that if I may succumb to temptation or forgetfulness, please hold me accountable by guiding my life in a direction that provides constant reminders so that I may shine in your light always and never stray accidentally, or on purpose.

Day 1 starts tomorrow.
