Can you remember all the faces you meet everyday?
A few days ago when I was on the train back to Taipei, listening to music on my phone, this wierd and terrifying thought came across my mind.
How could I know if the guy sitting next to me will affects my life in the future?
I’m saying, who knows, maybe this random guy sitting beside me will be my boss someday in the future. Or maybe that girl standing in the corner will play a role in a movie and become a super star and my idol two months later. What about the cute little boy running and jumping all the way through the trip? Maybe I’ll see him on TV show a few years later and find out he’s the number one basketball player in the country. And I would never have known that they had once sat beside me.
Now, think about this from another aspect.
What if the guy I lend a hand to this morning, happened to had the worst day of his life and was thinking about killing himself? What if this hand give him a glimpse of hope and make him want to hang on there for a little longer? What if this unconsciously action happened to stopped a tragedy of he killing others on the street 10 or 20 years later.
We are affecting each other, including people we don’t even know, in every actions and every words. Be nice. Be caring. It is these little things that change the world.
