In ED Ruscha’s depiction of subjects that are not generally thought of as having aesthetic qualities. He usually shoots some non-vitality photos in a vast area, such as gas stations, roadside shops and factories. There will be no people in his picture. My photography and his use of the same style, has been gray-based colors, select some of the life-related but not considered to be viable shop for photography, I chose a more dilapidated Chinese supermarket, pharmacies and the suspension of the site, they and our lives are closely related, but rarely be concerned about. ED Ruscha and my works, have the same color, has gray-based, will reduce the brightness, to give people a sense of black and white movies, these photographs emphasize the essential form of the structure and its placement within the built environment. His deadpan representations of stylized gas stations, and archetypal landscapes distil the imagery of popular culture into a language of cinematic and typographical codes that are as accessible as they are profound.Ed Ruscha’s photos is characterized by graphic simplicity, playful humor, and a keen interest in the vernacular as it applies to both language and architecture.
