This thing with dystopian societies is that they show how the ideals of perfection that our society wishes they could play out. We may think it is better to never fall in love with other people so that they never feel the heartbreak or sorrow when they leave us. We can’t have joy without sadness, We will never know what good times are like unless we go through the bad times. This is where the dystopian feel sets in. While you are seemingly content, you loose your freedom to choose, simply the easy way is to not resist. We will never grow, unless we have trials to make us stronger. In a world where emotions, experiences and exposure are limited, the variety of opinions shrinks smaller and smaller. Life isn’t about just floating through life with no resistance. With that, you simply exist, no real point to your life. What would the point be the purpose of your life. Though it may be hard, we must push through the hard times to come learn and grow and love others. We are all here for a reason and we must push onward to figure out what we are meant to be. To quote the lovable children’s movie “Wall-E,” “I don’t want to survive, I want to live!” Don’t fantasize about living in the grey area, It isn’t as relaxing as it would seem. I think that the purpose of life really is happiness, but it is not easy, you have to work for it. over and over again. You have to have the positive mind-set and believe that you will get through your hard times. The world isn’t scheming against you, there is a chance to become a better version of yourself so go out there and find it.
