Dermatologist- on- the -go app!

Problem:

After hearing about a variety of innovations in my technology class, I feel there should be an app that can cater to the Health sector of Pakistan.

Solution:

Although many apps are available on the play store yet they require a time frame of 24 hours to get a solution.

Dermatologist-on-the-go app should be able to identify any skin related problem such as skin cancer symptoms, measles, paleness and allergies; within seconds, just by taking the user’s photo and for free. Therefore, making the competition intense among other paid skin care apps.

The app should also be able to recommend the remedy and medicines, along with the name and address of a nearby hospital/dermatologist.

Penetration in the Pakistani market:

This app should be targeted to the rural areas specifically where there are inadequate hospital facilities and women are a victim of any abuse or acid attacks.

Such victims can then take a photo of their burnt skin and get immediate remedies for free instead of traveling to the nearest major city for treatment.

From an educational point of view, there will be an opportunity for development in such areas as awareness regarding skin, diseases, cure will increase along with the usage of electronic devices.

The app should be applicable for all phones and not just smart phones since the purchasing power will be low in the rural areas. Mobile companies with a high penetration in the rural areas, such as Nokia or Samsung can collaborate and offer this app for free or it can be built-in their phone devices.

However, it will require immense awareness programs, collaboration with credible doctors and regular updates regarding medicines and diseases to keep the app up to date with today’s world.
