More children are remain in the foster system than are adopted. Add the age depreciation of the child (very harsh, but realistic), and suddenly there are 20,000 children ageing out of the system, into difficult lives of instability.
Unless you’ve adopted children yourself, putting this on an unborn baby isn’t always realistic, and is quite ignorant of the realities faced.
