Magnolia

At the beginning of 2024, I prefer magnolia to represent.

When I was studying botany at university, we explored in the mountains of Zhejiang Province ( South of the Yangtze river, 3 hours’ drive from Shanghai), when this precious tree appeared, I understood the word: solitude。

Far from the world, though it was day time, it was covered with a soft light, like the moon shining on its top. It standing quietly, when the wind is blowing, the petals swing, it’s white inner rolled up, and the light red outside permeated.

The flower language of magnolia is a noble soul, which can be used to express respect and gratitude to teachers, and can also be used to praise the beauty of women.

It's morphological characteristics:

Deciduous tree, bark gray, shoots to the sun side purple. The leaves are leathery and oblong. Flowers before leaves, flowers alone on the top of the branches, perianth outside light red, inside white, open in spring.
