I’m one of those people who leaves their comfort zone with alarming frequency, but I definitely thing it’s important to have that home base and grounding environment.
For me, I am uncomfortable with feeling comfortable. If I’m totally comfortable I feel like I’m being complacent, or the other shoe is about to drop.
But I’m weird and I know it. And I think your article applies to me (in that I do have a strong home base). And for me, even if that base is spread out around the world, it makes me feel secure, even when I am out doing things that everyone thinks are crazy, or I don’t know what is coming next.
