Golden Retriever Protect Human by Fighting with Alligator

On twenty-seventh of July, 2016, a sunny Wednesday morning, the sun reflects on the shining Charles river with some nice clouds. People from the Boston university area came alone to the sidewalk for biking, jogging, and sports. This morning, a Boston residence John Smith prepared himself for a daily swimming routine in the river as usual, it was just an normal day for Smith to head there and started his exercise. John has a pet dog named Hank, a golden retriever hat he had since he was just a puppy, they have done the swimming together for more than 5 years till now.

After Smith had finished his swimming in the river, and was just about to got out of the water, he noticed something weird and different, he sense the unusual kind of feeling around him ,but he couldn’t tell what’s exactly going on. Just when he push himself out of the water and wiped off the water and sweat on his face, Hank suddenly jumped into the water and started to toward into something- It was an scaly, huge and very toothy alligator that Hank was approaching.

They started to fight each other, Hank tried to attack the alligator, he looked fearless, and seemed to warn him like “hey, do no come closer to the shore.” The alligator was also trying to fight back, he bites Hank’s left legs and his body to show that he’s the more dominate one in this river. Something was going on in the water, as it gets noisy and somehow not seems right, water was splashing everywhere, and with the voice of two animals that both were showing their power. The game is on, while in the river a battle between Hank and the wild alligator is on session, people at the shore started to noticed about it too. More and more of them came near the riverside, watching this show going on. Smith was terrified, he watched his dog carefully, somehow staring at them to make sure that he won’t die because of the alligator.

The battle didn’t last long, the alligator realized Hank’s ability was more than he thought, he bit him but, after all he knew that he is not going to win and might got hurt himself. The alligator slowing swims back to the middle of the water, slowly, slowly disappearing. Everything was back to normal again, Hank got back with his master with 17 stitches of scratches and injuring on his body, but despite that, Hank was safe and fine, and now he becomes the hero who protect his master.

“He’s my best friend i’ll never go swimming without him.” Smith said, right after the alligator attack, for Smith Hank is no longer just his pet, but the one who stands out for him when danger. BU beach is once again back to peace, tomorrow the sun’ll still shine on the river and the wind will blow with breeze.
