Mom
Today would have been my Mom’s 67th birthday and I would have seen her tonight when I am driving down to my parents home…My mom passed away 3 months ago and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Mom was an amazing person who loved even when she was not loved back and cared for others when the world kept pushing her down.
I have been blessed by having a family that truly cares for each other…yes, we may annoy each other or get pissed off at each other, but we do care about each other. I can attribute that to my mom. She was the glue…the sun that drew us in as planets orbiting around her. She had the laugh that was contagious, even when she wasn’t feeling well.
Mom always cared for those ahead of caring for herself, which explains why her health was so bad. She drove herself to make sure that she was caring for her family, even to her own detriment.
I definitely want to love and care like the woman who loved and cared for me until she passed…and she did so sacrificially and unconditionally, as she did with my brother, sister, dad, sister-in-law and my niece and nephews. May we love the way mom did.
P.S. love ya mom!
