Hello stationery lovers! In this post I am going to review wax crayons from a relatively lesser known brand available in India. The product is DOMS wax crayons from the company Writefine Products Pvt. Ltd. I had bought them for my creativity course assignments and I wanted to share my thoughts about them.

Availability:
These crayons are available in many retail stores across India and a few online stores too. I have purchased these from my nearest retail store in Bengaluru, India.
Packaging:
The crayons come in a sliding silver box of 6 cm x 9 cm. The product and other safety details are provided at the back of the box. I quite liked the box since it is a refreshing change from the deep green and red boxes of other well known coloring product companies.
Contents:
Each box contain 12 bright wax crayons. The length of each crayon is 5.7 cm and the diameter is 0.75 cm. The colors provided in the box are — black, brown, flesh tint, yellow, orange, deep red, pink, violet, deep blue, light blue, light green and deep green. The color selection is standard but notably the pink color stands out, with a very refreshing hue i.e. it is neither too saturated like a hot pink, nor too tinted like a baby pink. Also, I was quite happy to see a flesh tint color instead of a rarely used white. The flesh tint is more like a wheatish color.
Product:
The crayons are smooth and even shading. You rarely get those dark spots of color when applying these crayons, which you get with crayons of some other well known brands. Therefore, these crayons would also be suited for for some relatively intricate designs found in adult coloring books. There is no smell to the crayons, which is good. The size of the crayons is decent for children as well as adults for use. In general, the crayons are very cheap and in their category too they are cheaper than their competitors by ₹2–3 (I know its not a lot but sometimes it helps.)
Final thoughts:
I am very happy with these crayons. I have used wax crayons from other well known brands, and I must say these are better than them, in most of the aspects. I would definitely recommend these for children as well as adults. They also have 2 more versions available viz. 16 shades and 24 shades.
