samadhi, a yoga studio: Logo

Samadhi, a yoga studio, a local business in Glenview, run by local Glenview patrons, has been up and running for about 2 years now. A logo has been crafted to display its homely and comfortable feeling as a yoga studio.

Sketch

I created a few sketches with pencil and paper, attempting to capture samadhi’s unique style and feeling as a local business.

Draft

I chose one of the sketches to refine and make a few different iterations of in Illustrator. The middle sketch provokes thought about growth and blooming as a person in this yoga studio, and portrays a theme relating to nature.

Final Result

In the end I chose to refine my first iteration of the third sketch. The S in the middle of the flower stands for samadhi and the floral design and color choices represent a connection to nature and the theme of growth.
