365 Days of Python: Day #30 — Greedy Guesses

In my opinion, game shows participants are the epitome of greediness.

Deal or No Deal is a perfect example of this. If you are not familiar with this game show, the participant starts out by choosing a briefcase numbered 1 to 26. This briefcase contains an unknown amount of money up to $1,000,000.

The game progresses as the participant chooses briefcases at random. These briefcases are then eliminated which lets the participant know what amount of money is definitely not in his/her briefcase.

In between rounds, the “Dealer” will offer the participant an amount of money based on which briefcases are left. If the participant accepts the deal, the game is over; however, if the participant declines, he/she will continue picking briefcases until 2 are left.

Once only 2 briefcases remain, the participant will have the option to swap or keep his/her briefcase. Whichever briefcase the participant chooses to end the game with contains his/her prize money.
