In my opinion, devoting all of your time to something can quickly become exhausting. Furthermore, it can make whatever you are devoting time to feel like a parasite that is sucking all of the time out of your schedule.

If this is the case, then it might be time to reevaluate the thing itself.

This process of reevaluation can include, but is not limited to, the following questions:

  • Is this thing taking time away from my other hobbies or interests?
  • Is this thing ruining my sleep schedule?
  • Is this thing isolating me from my friends and family?

By asking yourself these questions, you can form a much better opinion on whether or not the thing is worth spending your time on.
