Automobile accidents kill around 1.3 million people a year. At the time of this blog, around 67 million people have died this year. Therefore, with some crude calculations, it can be estimated that automobile accidents make up almost 2% of annual deaths.

Why do so many fatal automobile accidents even happen in the first place?

According to an article, the top three causes of fatal automobile accidents are speeding, drunk driving, and distractions. In my opinion, this statistic is immensely devastating because all of these causes have one thing in common: human error.
