Freelancing has been the go-to route for those wanting to work for themselves (sometimes without ever having to leave their own homes) for the last couple of years. And it was given its limelight during the pandemic lockdowns.

Albeit alluring, is freelancing really worth it?

The short answer is…it can be.

Establishing yourself as a freelancer is not as easy as signing up for a website, creating a profile, and getting offered work. The path to becoming a successful freelancer not only takes time and effort. It takes a level of perseverance that a lot of people (especially those who go into freelancing looking for quick money) do not have.

Day #90 (2/12/2023)

“Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.”

— Proverb

Closing Thoughts

I did not write this blog to discourage freelancing. Rather, I wrote it as a warning to aspiring freelancers.
