The United Methodist Church’s highest court has ruled that the consecration of its first openly gay bishop violated church law, compounding a bitter rift over homosexuality that has brought the 13-million-member denomination to the brink of schism.
In a 6-to-3 vote made public on Friday, the church’s Judicial Council found that a married lesbian bishop and those who consecrated her were in violation of their “commitment to abide by and uphold the church’s definition of marriage and stance on homosexuality.”

My belief is that the immoral female can be allowed into a church setting; granted, she follows the laws of I Corinthians 14:34. Quiet until her thinking is healed. For she can be corrected with proper love. A male, suffers lifelong illegitimacy after having shaft shoved within continually. A private land mass is required, separate from normalcy.
Just “no”. That ‘male dukey dcikn’ has no place in any church. The laws are written clearly. Any pastor who disallows God’s written law should be stoned to death; ‘Hippocratic Oath’, publicly.
Allow me to put it in God’s words: I Thessalonians 4:3–5. But more directly (‘nail on head’); being Romans 1:18–32. Discussion ended.
