The basic skills CANNOT be built overnight.

From personal experience, let me assure you that if you don’t stop wasting time and utilize it by reading or building reasoning skills, then the vast seats of the vicious cycle will make you an offer which you cannot refuse.

Now, there are many ways one can waste time. For instance, when you are not listening attentively to the class discussions, then later on, there are humongous amounts of trouble awaiting you. One of the many is that you will fail in the board exams. The simple way to solve this problem is by putting all your focus and concentration to the class discussions and participating in it actively.

The second way of wasting time is by having frivolous conversations. This will get your brain totally evaporated. Rather, you should try to have deep conversations about the movie you are watching or about the book you are currently reading. That enhances your understanding of that particular book or movie.

But, will having deep conversations fulfill all your needs?

No, it won’t. Deeply reading is much more of a concern than deep conversations. But this don’t mean that it is not important. Actively reading and diligently checking out all the words is a good approach towards deep reading. You should not read just for the sake of passing the exams but for extracting something out of the book. It should be an enjoyment for you rather than skipping through material.

In addition to these, you should start writing from an early age; when you are in higher classes you will already have built a good writing style of your own and with descent accuracy. Hence, you should write the summary: of the books that you read, the movies that you watch, or about some of the current topic of discussions.

These practices should not be difficult attain as the school provides a perfect platform to read storybooks from a small age.

Therefore, after reading this letter, it’s your choice to make the decision of the amount of time wasted per day.

Thanking you,

An experienced senior
