1.- Marketing, as such, Does Not Exist

Many forget, that just 300 years ago, in monarchical France, people had serious and deadly hygiene problems.

And they were extremely rich and powerful people.

One of the successes of the modern world has undoubtedly been the use of a series of words, social narrative and pompous nomenclatures and pleasing to the ear, for facts of daily life.

Let us not go into historical and technological considerations. Only contemplate in its splendor the human being and the different environments that have touched him to live.

For example, “zero year” was not very different from the world of the 18th century. We were and did things relatively equal in that range of dates. That is to say, Alexander the Great, if he had a machine of the film to “back to the future”, and arrived at the time of the Emperor Napoleon, both could speak almost in the same terms.

Obviously, saving certain differences, of course, but there were no radical differences between one time and another.

But basically, as a human species, we are and have been exactly the same as in the above example I intend to illustrate.

Before the industrial revolution, 99.99% of the world’s population lived in conditions that the current term (modern) called “extreme misery”. Except for some kings and princes who escaped from this statistic.

Put another way: a current worker, who works from sun to sun, enjoys having toilet paper and a cell phone. Something that the kings of France, England or Spain lived with less comfort than this worker (LOL)

The word “marketing” is just a word of the “modern” world. It is this word that is new, but our unconscious desires and needs, from the beginnings of mankind, have always been there.

In fact, the vast majority of them have remained intact.

Ingeniously or conveniently, someone came up with a name, and that person call it “marketing”

2.- Marketing Appeals 100% to Evolutionary Psychology and Anthropology

The human being is, by nature, an observer. Basically, for a matter of survival. The point is, some people are aware of it and some are not.

Why do not people buy food in restaurants or lonely places? Why does our mood change radically when we ride on a motorcycle or a car? Why marriages are celebrated in a big way? Why do we queue at a supermarket? Why do women like to talk a lot? Why is it striking a traffic accident for us?

All these questions have a common answer: they are traces of our evolutionary vestiges that are part of our DNA, which are transmitted from generation to generation.

3.- Marketing is About Our Unconscious and Subconscious. That’s it

Why the middle class in poor countries complexed is? Why the middle class rich countries rebellious is? Why do there really exist the different social networks that we know today? Why in poor countries is bad to talk about the good things but good to talk about the bad things? Do we know exactly what taboo is?

There are irrational forces hidden in humans. They are under the surface of a society. Some have even named these forces: taboo.

They are forces that are too uncomfortable, disturbing and incompatible, to be remembered. The more discomfort, the greater the complex in the person, and the greater its concealment.

Anyone who brings such forces to the surface, and knows how to direct the irrational thought of the masses, will be able to stimulate the intimate and hidden desires in the unconscious of the people and associate them for their ends.

Marketing (or whatever it is called) is the most sophisticated, ingenious and successful way in which we give access to our minds to others: we give a map of our most hidden unconscious desires.

No matter how magical, how beautiful, how spectacular what we have before our eyes: “that”, is directed to our unconscious. We just are not aware of it.

Uupss..!! I am really sorry to tell you the truth (do not be so serious..!!)

That’s “marketing”
