How to sell your product!?

The answer is: don’t sell it….instead sell your company values and your company culture! Selling them will automatically sell the product for you.

Think of yourself as a customer and ask yourself:

  • Why am I loyal to brand X?
  • Why did I never think of switching from X to Y? etc.

Somewhere your answers will resonate along the lines of:

  • …because I share the same values that the Brand X vouches for.
  • ….because I relate to their Mission statement. etc.

And surprisingly this is not rocket-science at all to understand. Its human nature to stick to things which resonate with their own thoughts, ethics and beliefs. This is where you need to connect with people or customers for that matter. At the end of the day, the product alone should not be the only connection between you and the customer, it should be more than that…it should be the values that you both stand for!

There are certain ways through which you can take your company values to the customer and build long-term relationships.

  • Go for sessions like #AskMe on Twitter and let them ask you questions on anything and everything.
  • Have your own Youtube channel and regularly share your company culture and values with your followers.
  • Set up Weekly Product Hours, wherein your customers can join in, for you to educate them on different aspects. Not only this leads to effortless experience for them but also it helps you build community.

Always remember, earning customer loyalty goes long way in retaining them. Your customers need and want to know why you do things the way you do them. Transparency can do wonders! They will stand by you through every phase if you manage to strike the chord!
