We all live on borrowed time

The fact that December is knocking and it shall enter in a few days reminded me that we live on borrowed time and time is running out.
Sometimes I spend my time on things that don’t matter, forgetting that my time in this world is limited. Sometimes we spend time on useless things that don’t add any meaning or value in our lives.
This weekend I wasted time thinking about what could have and what should have. That’s 48 hours of my life which I am never going to get back. That is 48 hours which I was borrowed and I didn’t use wisely.
We live on borrowed time and we need to make the most of it because another day is not guaranteed. There is no guarantee that we will witness the next second, never mind tomorrow.
When you are borrowed something, you take good care of it. You make the most out of it because it’s something you have limited access to. When you are borrowed something, you know that there is going to come a time when the borrower wants what they borrowed you. But why do we fail to apply the same concept when it comes to the time which is borrowed to us?
We tend to spend time thinking about our losses or daydreaming about the life we want. What if we used that time to plan and execute? Instead of spending time thinking about how you are not beautiful enough, how about you use that time to embrace your rare beauty. Sometimes we spend time thinking ourselves into a bad mood. Thinking what will happen should the people that we love leave us instead of making the most of every second with them.
We spend hours scrolling on social media as if we have nothing better to do and that our dreams can wait because we are under the assumption that we will see tomorrow. When things are going right we sometimes spend time thinking about all that could go wrong, instead of living in the moment we stress about the future.
You live on borrowed time, are you using it to your advantage?
We live on borrowed and sometimes we fail to make the most of it. We are victims of social norms and social standards. Wasting our time trying to keep up with the latest social trends instead of using that time to develop ourselves.
This is time which is borrowed to you and if you fail to use it wisely someone will outsource you so that they may use your time to build their dreams and fulfill their purpose. Make it a point that you try your best to use your borrowed time to fulfill the purpose you were called for in this world. Learn to capitalize wisely on your time, you deserve that. And should you be outsourced by someone, know the value of your time because once you devalue your time someone else will do the same.
Learn to make the most of your borrowed time, laugh when you do something stupid, love even when you scared that you might get hurt. Invest your time in meaningful relationships that make you happy, help you grow and bring out the best in you. It also wouldn’t hurt to spend a few seconds of your time every day being kind to someone.
Take time to celebrate yourself than comparing yourself to other people. Use some of your borrowed time to be comfortable with you and be authentic to yourself. Use some of it to be kind to yourself.
You live on borrowed time and you need to spend it wisely. Make it a point that you make every second count. Use it to make memories and to develop yourself because once your time is up, all that you will leave with are your memories, knowledge and skills not material things of this world. I am not saying that you shouldn’t acquire wealth, what I am saying is USE YOUR BORROWED TIME TO WISELY, LIVE.
Stop taking the fact that you live on borrowed time for granted, not because life is short but because you owe it to yourself to be the best and most authentic version of you.
There is a saying that says that time is money. When you spend your money recklessly you are bound to be in debt and when you in debt you need to make more money to pay off the debt. The unfortunate thing with time is that when you spent your time recklessly you going to end up with regrets and you will never get that time back because you can’t make time to pay for lost time.
Warning: Be careful how you spend your borrowed time.
You live on borrowed time and you do not afford to serve time. If you are interested do read one of my articles on serving time.
The sad reality for others is that they had to lose someone they love to death in order to know that we all live on borrowed time. Try not to learn the hard way that you live on borrowed time.
You live on borrowed time and you need to let that sink in…
