Da Bears and the Cheese Heads
Kicking off Week 7 of the NFL season is the NFC North matchup between old time rivals, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. In years past this had proved to be an enticing matchup however both teams are struggling considerably with the Bears limping in at 1–5 and the Packers having lost to the Cowboys last week.
Offensively, the Chicago Bears continue to turn to backup QB Brian Hoyer (30pts), who has almost been more successful than incumbent starter Jay Cutler. Hoyer has developed a quick relationship with a trio of targets: WR Alshon Jeffery (25pts), Cameron Meredith (25pts) and TE Zach Miller (20pts). Jeffery and Meredith are used to move the ball down field, while Miller has quickly become a favorite target in the red zone. On the ground, rookie RB Jordan Howard (30pts) has quickly moved into the lead role with the injury to Jeremy Langford. Although Howard has seen the majority of the action, he is occasionally spelled by Ka’Deem Carey (15pts). Consider taking a flyer on RB Joique Bell (10pts), who has seen limited action since being signed, but could see an increased role as he becomes more familiar with the offense.
The home team in this matchup is the Green Bay Packers and their cheese head fans. QB Aaron Rodgers (30pts) has been a little inconsistent as of late but still has the ability to take over a game if need be. Throwing the ball he has quickly redeveloped his timing with his favorite target, Jordy Nelson (25pts). Lining up alongside Nelson are WR Davante Adams (20pts) and Randall Cobb (20pts). On the ground, the Packers typically feature Eddie Lacy, who is doubtful for the game and will most likely miss it. Generally his backup is James Starks, but he has also been ruled out for the game. This has lead to the Packers signing veteran RB Knile Davis (10pts) to possibly be the starter, but early reports also indicate that they could possibly use Randall Cobb at the position. With that being said, our value pick for the game is Knile Davis, who despite the short week could see substantial action.
