The Secret to Adjusting Your Situation
Sometimes, life’s obstacles and challenges can seem overwhelming. We struggle with our health, our finances, ourrelationships, our family. Sometimes, when facing life’s battles we might wonder where God is in our struggles. How do we get back on track when the situation seems hopeless?
Friends, I’m here to tell you there’s hope in the times of hopelessness.
There’s a way to overcome your most challenging battles — a strategy, if you will, for living an abundant life. And it’s simple! All you do is learn the biblical process to adjust negative thoughts, words, and patterns of thinking to create positive outcomes. Okay, well, maybe it’s not as easy as it sounds!
BUT HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS! I had the pleasure a while back of talking about and learning this strategy of adjustment with my friends, Mary and Keith Hudson, when they joined me in the 1onOne studio.
Mary’s book, Smart Bombs, details how we can tear down strongholds in life by hearing and applying the Word of God. And more specifically, how you can adjust negative thoughts and patters through biblical revelation and application.
Now, before I go on, let me take a step back and share with you the Hudson family legacy. You see, Mary and Keith are the parents of music star Katy Perry, and have known since Katy was little that she was destined to do great things for God with her music. Listen, the Devil wants to keep us trapped. He wants to pin us down in the circumstances that hold us back. When we turn to God and His Word, these “smart bombs” are released to show us light and hope.
So here is the question — how can you employ this smart bomb strategy? Well, you must get back to basics. Reading and understanding Scripture, and then taking those promises and holding onto them! Your breakthrough will come to pass when you take the Word of God and use it. And hey, you won’t be on your own! God will see you through it.
Romans 5:1–2 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”
The strongholds we set up keep us from God’s promises. We must add action and substance to our faith. Take the Word and aim it at the strongholds in your life and break them down. The Word of God is your security against your struggles and against the Devil.
You don’t have to be bound to your circumstances. Recognize that no matter what troubles you, God is greater. God is always greater, and His Word is working for you.
