Following on from a post I did called “Elementary my dear Watson” where I brought up the topic of the latest game which will be released in the Sherlock Holmes series by Frogwares, I have since decided to do a post on each of the individual games to give readers a better idea of one of my favourite gaming series ever created. Today I will be looking at the second game in the series, called Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Silver Earring.

The Case of the Silver Earring
The second game in the series, Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Silver Earring, was released in October 2004, and introduced the third-person perspective for players. In it, Holmes and Watson investigate the murder of a construction tycoon, Sir Melvyn Bromsby; with his daughter, Lavinia, among the suspects.
Based in 1987, Sherlock Holmes start this adventure by getting a letter from his brother Mycroft requesting for both him and Dr. Watson to investigate a singer performing at a birthday party held by baron Sir Melvyn Bromsby for his daughter Lavinia. At the party…
