Disturbed’s “Evolution”

We all know the top hit “Down With The Sickness” by the heavy metal band Disturbed. Five out of their seven studio albums have reached #1 on Billboard 200. Disturbed has came a long ways ever since their formation in 1994. The band has made great success and continues to create a positive impact on their listeners.

Disturbed latest album “Evolution” was released on October 19, 2018. It is their first album released in over three years and their goal was to evolve their sound. The topics in the album are mainly about addiction, government, war, death, and technology. It is also a tribute to the deaths of singer Chester Bennington and drummer Vinnie Paul. Disturbed fans are appreciative of the band’s tribute to the important figures of heavy metal music.

The three popular singles from their newest album; “Are You Ready, “A Reason to Fight”, and “The Best Ones Lie” each have had postive feedback from fans. “Are You Ready” appeals to have the older ‘heavy’ sound of Disturbed. “A Reason to Fight” is meant to be a helpul and positive message to those who are battling addiction. And “The Best Ones Lie” is about the current negative climate of news media. People that listen to Disturbed can relate to their messages or become aware of the issues faced in the world.
