Fake News: A New Name For An Old Problem

This is a really interesting piece… Fake news is just another term for propaganda. While in its most tame form it manifests itself as a particular choice of words of a journalist, today it is the distribution of lies in the form of facts to propel a certain viewpoint. Although this phenomenon has existed for centuries, to my knowledge, now is the first time in history that anyone can just fabricate a story and publish it, affecting an exponential amount of others. This is not only terrifying, but extremely dangerous, due to its repercussions… Personally, I find the search for reliable sources becoming harder and harder, even when looking at a newspaper article it is hard to tell whether its biased or not and what the true facts really are.
