First of All just have a quick look at psychology and what is psychology?
Psychology is the science of behaviour and mind, including conscious and unconscious conditions, as well as feeling and thoughts.
Actually, I have thought about the concept of confidence for the greater part of my entire life.
The question arises in my mind is what is confidence and how we can define confidence? Or which factors gives confidence to a person? Or also in what situations or conditions a person become overconfident?🤔
I will answer my questions by using some logical or illogical reasons. Before I will give my options or my thoughts or what my minds says about confidence. The word confidence comes from a Latin word
‘Fidere’ which means “to trust’’
My thoughts is that confidence is when you do not care or have the fear in you anymore that you will lose or fail you will always be ready to face the situation in a much better way. The fear of not doing something supersedes the fear of failure or loss or regret. Confidence is when we overcome this feeling within us that we are unable to do something. Confidence is when you control and condition your mind to always believe in yourself — your stamina is so high that you always ready to meet life’s challenges and overcome your problems with the hope of winning. The outcome might not always be favourable, but you are ready for the consequences. According to me confidence also helps you to learn much better about what is life. In a secure way, confidence means feeling sure of yourself and your abilities. Confidence isn’t about feeling superior to others. It’s inner feeling that you’re capable to face any challenges.
You have so much belief and trust in your self that you subconsciously reassure yourself at times to boost your morale and ego;in case you need to deal with any kind of situation or circumstances in life, whether personal or professional.
It is not attainable forever, neither can you be always confident in life. Sometimes life presents you with such scenarios where your confidence level will be put to the test and not everybody comes out of it with flying colours. It is phenomenon that is wavering and fluctuating
Confidence levels are not attainable fully, neither can you lose it all in one go. You build confidence just you build trust and belief
Confidence can be applied on to your self known as SELF CONFIDENCE. IN this person has trust on their own self and abilities. The concept of self confidence is similar to the confidence, except that, a person uses it as a self assurance tool to reassure themselves that they have the necessary trust and faith to put into their own decision making, ability, personality judgment, and power.

Firstly, I want to say that confidence is not something that you purchase it all in one go.
- Talking with successful people :
Always make friendship with successful and positive people, those people who have overcome their own self confidence issues and they know that there is a light at the end of tunnel and a positive person can achieve whatever they plan in their minds and hearts. Always put in effort to appreciate your own work and self.
- Not believe others ill opinion :
Never listen to others people’s ill intended malicious and harmful words, that are used to shatter you inner self that also leads to the destruction of your inner personality. Someone’s hash words can break your confidence and your own belief and trust in your self.
- Control negative thoughts :
Ignore the negative thoughts patterns in your mind. The less you give in to them, the less they control your day to day life. Don’t believe your negative mind or inner critic tells you. Always challenge your negative beliefs that will boost up your positive vibes. Think positively about your self and generally being happy.
- Work on your self efficacy :
The idea is that if you highlight your sense of self efficacy then you will be more confident as a person due to having more beliefs in your chances of succeeding. You can face any kind of challenges with the power of confidence.
- Work on your Self -Esteem:
To be confident it’s very important to work on you self Esteem so that we start feeling good about ourselves and learn to accept ourselves and our faults in order for our self -confidence to flourish. If you have low self- Esteem the chances are the your thoughts and feelings of yourself are low and negative.
- Have self compassion :
The self compassion is the act of caring about your own feeling and thoughts and acknowledging and understanding your mistakes in a good way and always learn from your mistakes.
- Stop comparing yourself to others :
If you want to build confidence in you first of all stop comparing yourself with others. When we start comparing ourselves with others then we start finding flaws in everything we do.
- Be dead to fear:
Eliminate fears from your life. Instead of letting the fear dominate you, try to control it. This will also boost your confidence level.
- Body language :
Body language speaks louder than the words. It’s play an important role to shape your personality. Your body language is one of the most important way of direct connect to the people.
- Work on your inner personality :
Build your inner strength by positive self talk… meditation. Also try to build self control. Inner strength also u alot to gain confidence.

Over confidence is a negative bias that the person births within them, an over estimation of one’s ability or power or judgement. When you have excessive belief in your self, you become overconfident. When you believe that you have more power than other people you become overconfident.
