Ubuntu 20.04(LTS)

Among the lot of Linux distribution systems UBUNTU is the most popular desktop Linux based os.

The latest Ubuntu operating system is Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa, released on 23 rd April 2020.

This is a Long term support release — the type of release that Canonical only publishes every two years

It will support continues for the next five years .

And Also Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is now certified for the Raspberry Pi!

New features in Focal Fossa

1)Ubuntu 20.04 provides three default theme variants

in ubuntu 19.10 only we can see the default Yaru theme with dark mode but ubuntu 20.04(LTS) provide light, standard and dark themes too.\

2)Aubergine as the second accent color

3)Do not disturb button to utilize the notifications

4)snaps before apts ,

in the early versions of ubuntu if we want to install new package only apt command suggested but now snap suggests before the apt

Ubuntu 20.04 features the latest kenal 5.4 This means that you get native ExFAT support and all the other performance improvements and new hardware supports that come with it.

using the uname -a command or neofetch command you can easily see the kernal version

Kernel 5.4 will now bring native exFAT support to Linux.

FAT filesystem does not allow transferring files bigger than 4GB. To overcome this limit, Microsoft created exFAT filesystem. With this, you could now format a USB drive in exFAT and transfer bigger files
