Maras the Best Salt in the World
A day trip to the salt mines in Cusco

A s I got of the bus I was dying to go to the bathroom, I had to pay one sol for me and four other people because the woman did not have change. The view from the bus was already incredible, you could not see one ugly thing there. To get in the sal de maras you don’t have to pay anything it is free. The mountains were covered in white not even one part was another color everything was white, and the water tasted very salty. The salt was white like liquid glue, the water was transparent like a crystal and the sky was blue like the ocean. The people there were very nice people, if you did not know spanish they would try there best to communicate with you. You could buy salt for such low prices, and they even negotiated so you could get a better price.

Pretty much throughout the whole trip I was with Luca walking and taking pictures he even showed me a new technique to take an amazing picture. I really liked going just me and Luca because we could stop whenever we wanted to take pictures. The problem was that I stopped to take pictures a little too much so I told Luca he could go in front. Right behind us was a big group of people so I waited for them so I wouldn’t be alone. Just walking through the whole way felt like flying because you did not care about your life you were just enjoying the moment. Enjoying the moment is the best thing you can do in this trip, if you think about your life in wherever you live it just will ruin the trip.

As the group reached me I showed them my awesome pictures and they showed me there’s. It really helped because I could ask them for their pictures and they could ask for myne. As the giant group walked together we reduced our speed until we stopped to take a group picture and for me walking in a group was much better because you can talk with different people and it makes you make new friends. Walking in maras was like relaxing in a spa and not thinking about anything else. Cuzco is a place for relaxation it does not matter where you go you will always feel relaxed.

When we finished the walk when went to a buffet restaurant like always, I chose to eat a delicious chicken with some white rice. It tasted very good, every buffet we went in Cuzco had very good food and we had many different options. The chicken smelled like a candle it was so good I could taste it by the smell. It tasted like the chicken god, it was the best chicken I’ve tasted in my life. The rice was not the best but it was not bad, for dessert we had many different options like cake, and pies but I decided to go for the sweet rice that also tasted delicious. The only thing is that sweet rice is better hot and when I ate it, it was cold.
