Terraport — Recipe for success.

Many of you dear LUNC holders probably envy undisputed Terraport success and wish “I was the one to come up with that idea”.

Well… I have good news for you. I’ll describe step by step for you what needs to be done!

Most important thing is get yourself twitter account, and get active on it, join some AMAs, and use big words, remember to throw in some big names from the space when you are explaining your ideas, without that, you might not be taken seriously. But there is one rule… you have to use specific syntax in your sentences. There must be word “partners” and then name of that big persona in one sentence with distance between them, not bigger than 9 seconds and, now very important, no less than 7s. That’s crucial. What if you are not partners? Don’t worry, no one will verify it.

Next step is informing potential investors about your security practices and being in crypto space what better name to drop than CertiK. Most respected security auditor in space. At this moment you are already a star, investors start swarming your door, you can already plan bigger headquarters for your company. Future is bright.

At this point, you don’t need real product yet, but probably it is a good moment to start developing it, you know… just in case. Still have to keep hype up tho. Good practice in space is to create pre-sale, first closed one, for private investors and remember, you need to store addresses somewhere so you can later on, hardcode them in your JavaScript code. This not only saves time and let your investors to feel that they belong to bigger group, but also saves a lot of money for a backend with database (these 7$ a month can be make or break for your company)

Also in case you would like to set upper limit for presale, everyone can check it for themselves how tokens were distributed. Why would you protect your investors data, of course every single one of them wants to brag about their TERRA buy, right?

Now it’s time for launch.

After multiple months of building hype, partnering with countless entities it is time to launch your product. Security audit is a thing in the past, code is there, extremely performant frontend application without any backend infrastructure to filter data for public, transparency is a key.
Investors addresses are out there, they are bonding over TERRA token.

It is time to give some more data for your investors, let’s start with graphs so they can monitor price in real time.

Let’s use coingecko and fetch data graphs from there. Remember to use pro-API and share your access key with everyone so they can use it as well if needed.

No worries, some CSS, hardcoding few lines of code will set price for us.

Just remove it after 24h, alongside with public access to your Redux, so investors can admire your code for short while.

Summary

What was a point of this article? To hold people accountable. There is plenty of data there to compare what was publicly stated with what actually happen.

But most important thing is, there are serious security issues with Terraport code and all of it is exposed to public. Sometimes it is better to delay project release than put your investors at risk for a quick buck.

Don’t throw random names around and don’t ignore security practices, because you are dealing with people money.
