Fat and Protein

In nutrition, I am most interested in the differences between healthy fat and saturated fat. We consume different types of fats every day. We eat butter, milk, corn, etc., but what are healthy fat foods? According to Canada’s food guide, nuts, salmon, and vegetable oil are all healthy fat foods. In addition, Canada’s food guide also points out that highly processed foods have more saturated fats.

For protein foods, less fat is healthy for the human body. So, Canada’s food guide recommends that people eat more plant-based protein foods (lean meats, low-fat foods, beans, etc.). And I would like to learn more about how important protein food is to people.

In my opinion, nutrition will play an important role both currently and in the future. I believe that nutrition can sum up the healthiest food system and the best food indicators for the human body. For the current fast-paced society, even if fast food is the most convenient, it is not the healthiest. People need more than just a full meal, but also a healthy body.

I recommend the website Canada’s food guide from the Government of Canada. The network combines the concepts and food theories of many nutritionists from 1942 to 2017. Through continuous revision, we got the latest edition of Canada’s food guide. In the document, there are a lot of recommendations and menus related to food health are recorded, which helps people understand more about how to produce health through food. Finally, I hope that we can all live a healthy life with healthy food.
