Reason why I started to shoot with films
Nowadays, Even though more technology makes life more convenient than past, some people still like old things, such as vinyl, tape cassettes, and film cameras, including me who like to shoot film photography. I recently started shooting film photography which makes me have fun and exciting moments, so today I’m going to talk about some of the reasons why I started to shoot with films. Hopefully, this article will inspire you to try it.
The process
The process of film photos is to load the film, set the camera, shoot out the roll, unload and develop the film.
After all, you won’t know how your pictures turn out until you have them developed. This means you have to adapt your way of seeing and your decision-making when you take a shot.
Make photos more memorable
As we don’t see the film photos right away after shooting as digital cameras do, they become more memorable and thrilling. Every shot is valuable. Even if it is not perfect, it is still a good memory that you have.
I took this photo when I went to Phuket with my family. While we were sailing a yacht to go diving and travel around the Andaman Sea, there were some jellyfish swimming along the yacht.
Before I went to Phuket, there had been a storm so I thought I might not see the beautiful sky and sunset. Fortunately, the day we went there, it didn’t rain at all. We finally watched the sunset on the yacht and enjoyed the moment together.
The films
There are many various films, different sizes, and colors. Each brand has a different style. It’s fun to experiment with new films and see what the picture will look like.
Thanks, everyone for reading. I hope you enjoy it, and let’s fall in love to film photography together, bye.
