My first English medical lesson!

Today something unforgettable happened. at around 7 pm, after i finished my violin course, i walked down the path of my campus when a woman on a bike stopped beside me and asked where the first teaching building is. i told her the direction and i felt somewhat weird. in front of the building she appeared again and asked me where the classroom 101 is. I knew that there must be something out there. I entered into to the classroom. It was a lecture.
The lecturer was a thin lady with… short hair and glasses. She was speaking in so genuine English! I couldn’t believe my ears. I’ve never seen an international academic lecture in my school before. I stood in the back of the classroom.
"What kind of blood bell activates when theres a bleeding?",the lecturer asked a question. The answer immediately stroke me. I know the chinese name, but cant came up with the english term. plate? platelis?"platelets, exellent!",she said. oops, i almost recalled it. The lecture was focused on the nursing of cardiac patient, especially myocardial infarction and coronary disease. I happened to be studying cardiac internal medicine these days, and know some of the terms. It attracts me so much!

After the lecture i asked for some souvenirs-a sin and a pen, with the sign of canada’s national flag.
This experience has encouraged me so much to become a better medical student. to learn more, to challenge more and accomplish more.
