American TV mogul. His father was the owner of an advertising company in Atlanta, Georgia. After business failures that led to his suicide in 1963, Ted took over the family business and not only managed to revive it, but also raised it to unprecedented heights, becoming the founder and owner of the entertainment station TBS, Turner Entertainment, CNN, TNT and others.
