In this society, alcohol is a widespread drink that is enjoyed by many after work, pastime, or during events and holidays. But have you wondered about the different types of alcohol that exist?

Several main types of alcoholic drinks exist spirits, wine, beer, liqueurs, cocktails, and sake. Being so the different kinds of alcoholic drinks do differ in the percentage of alcohol content they carry. So, let's dive deeper into knowing how the different alcohols would taste and their alcohol content.

Beers are commonly known throughout with it being a global phenomenon. It's brewed into many styles with many brands emerging such as Tiger, Sapporo, Heineken, and many more. Beer also has an alcohol content of 4–6%.

Wine is also one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known to humankind from thousands of years ago. There are many types of wine brands such as Château Lafite Rothschild, Marchesi Antinori, Screaming Eagle, and many more. Wine also has an alcohol content of 11–13%.

Liqueurs are often infused with herbs, fruits, or spices with a different array of flavors and are usually enjoyed in cocktails. The brands are Umeshu, Amarula, Goldwasser, and many more. Liqueur alcohol content often ranges from 15–30%.

Sake also known as Japanese rice wine is a drink that is a piece of Japanese culture and history being brewed from polished rice, water, yeast, and koji mold. Brands such as Dassai, Ozeki, Hakutsuru, and many more usually hold an alcohol content of 15–16%.

Cocktails are a combination of various spirits, liqueurs, and mixers. Usually using alcohol such as vodka, gin, and rum, things such as Singapore sling is a popular cocktail. Cocktail alcohol content can't be told due to it being mixed with the mixers.

In all these drinks do hold their importance in society, culture, and gatherings with each sip of the drink bringing unique and memorable moment.
