How to set up RTK base stations, these matters need to be known

RTK is a kind of positioning system, and the base station is an essential part of RTK. The quality of the RTK base station erection will directly affect the performance of the equipment. So, how to set up the RTK base station?

1. The base station of RTK should be erected to ensure that the sky is open, and there should be no large obstacles above the 15° height angle. This ensures the accuracy of the satellite signal.

2. The base station of RTK should be set up to avoid the interference of electromagnetic waves. Such as TV towers, microwave stations, high-voltage transmission lines, transformer stations, etc. cannot appear near the base station of RTK.

3. The RTK base station should be set up at a high place so that the working distance of the equipment is farther. Generally speaking, the higher the base station of RTK is, the farther the working distance is.

4. RTK base stations should be far away from places with a strong reflection of electromagnetic wave signals, such as water areas, high-rise buildings, etc. Once the signal reflection is strong, multi-path effects will occur, which will affect the use of RTK.
