The Story of Patricia Jane Wagner

For this story we are going back over 5 decades since Patricia “Patty” Wagner, a New Jersey woman was last seen. On October 20th of 1972, 26 year old Patty was last seen leaving her home to go on a date at a coffee shop with a man named Dennis. Patty and Dennis were never seen again they both vanished without a trace.

Now you may be asking yourself the same question that I’ve also asked.. how in the hell does someone just vanish? No leads, no anything that could point to where Patty and Dennis were, or the biggest question here who had involvement in their disappearance?

Patty with her two sons

Family states that Patricia’s oldest son, Kenny who was only 5 years old at the time of her disappearance begged her not to leave because he had a gut feeling that his mother would not be returning. Patty promised little Kenny that she would be home and would take him to McDonald’s the next day

Unfortunately Kenny was correct, his mother did not return home. Patty was currently residing with her mother Marie who she had asked to watch her two children that night and when Patty didn’t return the next morning Marie notified the New Jersey Police.

I spoke with Eileen who was born just one month after Patty went missing and has spent her life giving a voice to those who have gone missing including her cousin Patty.

While Police had believed that Patty ran off with Dennis the Family has said it was not possible and completely out of Patty’s character to do something like this. Patty occasionally would do housekeeping on the side but other then that had no income and did not have the resources to just run off and she would not leave her two sons who she loved more then anything behind. Eileen gave me a theory on what they believe happened to Patricia Wagner and Dennis that night.

Andy + Patricia with little Kenny.

As seen in the photo above — here is Andy and Patty. Andy was Patty’s ex who had allegedly tried to throw Patty off of a balcony the day before when Patty’s mother Marie punched Andy. Andy was angry because Patty had an affair and the family believes he killed her and Dennis the night of October 20th. This is still an open investigation, which means no information on who they believe did it, who they’ve questioned or anything will be released.

LE mistakenly believed they found Dennis in Florida but after having him come in for an interview it was proven this was not the same Dennis who was with Patty that night and Dennis is also still missing.
