why immigration relief matters

The amount of immigrants living and working in the united states has grown over many years as the number of illegal immigrants lands at around 10.4 million people across the united states and about 6.1 million children living with an undocumented family member.

My first reason why immigration relief matters are that Immigrants are no different than those who lived and grew up in the United States but some people show a lot of discrimination against immigrants which is something that happens on a daily basis, their lives get harder and citizens don't make it easier Being an immigrant you don’t have all the rights of others even having some rights taken away. It’s a challenging position to be in because of the effects it brings on people’s lives. As some come, from illegal in-laws of the united states, they can not give their rights as united states citizens, which is something immigrants fear getting deported and sometimes having their families taken away. The united states need to see how immigrants contribute to society and communities, helping build our economy and better lives for themselves

My second reason for my topic is how immigrants are given essential services that keep being provided across the country, undocumented immigrants are also consumers whose spending limits support our national and local community. undocumented immigrants and their households pay $79.7 billion in federal taxes and $41 billion in state and local taxes annually. Moving forward, despite being ineligible for social safety net programs, undocumented workers continue to pay for them. The regular contributions of undocumented workers support the social safety net; their employers contribute annual payroll taxes totaling to$17 billion towards social security and $ 4 billion towards Medicare. Meanwhile, undocumented immigrants across the country own 1.6 million homes, pay $20.6 billion in mortgage payments, and contribute $49.1 billion in rental prices yearly.

Another perspective is that immigrants create disadvantages such as crowding, congestion, and an increase in demand for public service. But I disagree because it is a problem as it is with people who still don’t contribute to the economy so there wouldn't be a problem with adding help and support to the communities and society. They are coming to have a better life and grow on their own with the amount of undocumented people across the united states they are here to build and help the economy.

My main thought on why immigrants help build and strengthen our economy is that there a big help to our communities. There are almost no paying jobs that do not have an imagrant helping everyone out and making their jobs easier. Having family members also in a situation with immigration, they have made it a long way to be in the united states for almost 40 years. They have grown from where they started and have put in effort to have the life they do today.
