I chose a strip of photographies forming an elevation. As we all known, a city is composed by architectures, landscapes and human beings. In the photographies I took, I showed these elements obviously. Another reason that let me choose the technique is that a strip of photos taken in this way seems like the films in cameras. When we are wandering for taking these photos, we will pay attention to these buildings, which means we must observe this city in details. And in these photos, the street is cut into many different parts. So when we combine these parts together, we are rebuilding a street. The street can be made of various types of buildings. What interests me most is that these mixures do not make me confused, it allows me to feel distinctive beauty. And all these things let me realize that Sydney is a multicultural city. My photos are according to Edward Ruscha, while there is an difference between our works. It is the amount of human and vehicles. Edward Ruscha mainly records architectures in his works, while many passersby and vehicles are also included in my photographs.
