The shown style is Using Fragments to Build a Whole, which is similar to Man with a movie camera. Man with a movie camera shows a way to describe settled shots or smooth shots to demonstrate city, street, people, building, etc. The shown building of my film is QVB, which is a shopping centre located in Town Hall. As a result, fragments includes people, circular roof, walking path, sculpture and escalator. After watching this film, not only can we see the crowded people, but details of QVB as well. All the audiences see are short period of shots, however, they can associate the whole through phenomena of fragments.
When it comes to the method of scene, all the shots are resting while angles are changes. For example, recorder are settled at around, handrail of escalator, armrest of public chair and even rubbish bin and every shots are 6 second an average.
Because of style I imitated is Man with a Movie Camera, the film is silent. All I want to show are pictures instead of voice.
In sum, this style of the film has an unabashedly avant-garde style, and emphasizes that film can go anywhere even the audio out of a guitar.
