The Pretty and the Prettier

Girl 1 exerted effort. Three hours worth of cosmetics blow drier and right clothes.

Girl 2 is wearing the first clothes she saw from her wardrobe. She grabbed her lipstick then applied it on the way out.

Girl 1 constantly checks her face every five minutes on her compact since she arrived. Today will be one of those bad days if her makeup will be ruined.

Girl 2 is reading a book.

Girl 1’s friends arrived. Their group is now complete. They talked about boys and the latest on fashion and beauty. They talked about celebrities too.

Girl 2 is checking her phone for today’s schedule.

Girl 1 and friends began talking about acquaintances they don’t like. They were laughing, cursing and giggling.

Girl 2 is scribbling on her planner. She glanced around for awhile to check what everyone’s doing.

Girl 1 looked at Girl 2 then laughed. The poor thing has no life.

Girl 2 noticed Girl 1 looking at her. She dropped her gaze then covered her face.

30 minutes later, there’s still no professor.

Girl 1 and friends took their last look at their mirrors before leaving the room. They look perfect. They’re now ready for their schoolmates to notice them. They’re now ready for the varsity to ask them out. They started talking loudly.

Girl 2 exits. She’s fixing her bag. Everyone is checking her out.
