Technical writing And Some Other Career Paths in Tech

First, technical writing is a more specific type of writing which involves sharing or conveying your ideas, views, instructions, and suggestions logically and technically in a readable form. There are three forms of technical writing namely: Traditional Technical Writing (which is normal technical writing targeted at technically advanced audience), End User Documentation (targeted at the consumer), and
Technical Marketing Communications (targeted at the general public with mild use of technical jargons). In all the three the writer must ensure effective use of words and active voice to ensure clarity, and at the same time, provide confidence in your ideas.

Second, data science which is my chosen career path, is an interdisciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract or extrapolate knowledge and insights from noisy, structured and unstructured data, and apply knowledge from data across a broad range of application domains. Data science uses tools and methodologies such as SQL, python/R, data mining, machine learning and big data. A data scientist should have analytical thinking, Maths and statistical, problem solving, communication, business, and research skills to be successful his/her career.

Lastly, front-end engineering — the term sometimes used interchangeably with — front-end development involves building websites, designing applications and ensuring overall user accessibility. It generally entails:
• Designing, installing and testing a website’s user interface elements
• Focusing on a website’s functionality and the look of a website
• Developing ideas for a new website or coming up with ways to renovate an existing website
• Understanding the various information a website will have and creating a plan for structuring the website and how best to present the information on the website or web application.
• Selecting and creating a website’s graphic elements
• Creating prototypes for a website to presenting to both employers and clients
• Coding a site and testing it to ensure its functionality
• Monitoring websites to ensure they continue to run properly and make modifications as needed
• Ensuring that web design is smartphone capable
• Streamlining and optimizing for loading speed.
Core skills required in front-end engineering are HTML (for Hyper Text Mark-up Language), CSS(Cascading Style Sheet), and JavaScript
