On the Post-Conceptual

Where prophets are practitioners and visionaries are makers.

To conceive an idea is to imagine a possibility, to see a connection, to paint a desire, and to fuel a drive; often times to a whole generation of makers and thinkers to what the future holds. Both mythology and science-fiction subserve these concepts that transpire into prototypes and eventually products. Today more than any other generation, the pace of science and technology has alarmingly caught up with our concepts, we can no longer expect to conceive and wait for reality to follow.

We are entering a post-conceptual world, a world where visionaries cannot resign themselves to the walled think tank or the laboratory. The future is no more predicted, it is lived. In a world as such, stories and storytellers don’t craft a desirable future for makers to realize, but makers realize experiences which stand for themselves and tell their own story.

Welcome to a post-conceptual where prophets are practitioners, and the visionaries are makers.
